Top LA Musicians Come Together for an Evening to Benefit The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP)

The LA Music Academy will host the 5th Annual Christmas Show to benefit The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP) on December 5th, 2004, from 4PM to 8PM on the school's grounds. Presented by TRAP and Club Aspire, the show will feature musical performances by many world-renowned musicians, including several Academy instructors.


Founded in 1997 by drummer Eddie Tuduri, TRAP utilizes the therapeutic benefits of rhythm and music to heal and rehabilitate people with disabilities. By bringing together musicians, therapists, and health care workers, the program has experienced unparalleled success in creating innovative approaches to address a variety of rehab goals, as well as to enhance the learning curve in developmental disabilities.


Performers will include legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea), Jimmy Haslip and Russell Ferrante (The Yellowjackets), Don Grusin with Walfredo Reyes, Sr. and Jr., Natalie Rene, Rene Camacho, and Katisse Buckinham, Academy Vocal Department Chair Kevyn Lettau and Academy Education Director and Drum Instructor Mike Shapiro with Academy Bass Instructor Jerry Watts, Richie Garcia, and Luis Conte.* Performers will also include the Lynette Adams High Spirit Dancers, accompanied by CG Ryche and his Latin Pocket Pals, and Gifted Artists Records recording artist Trieana Moon, among others.
