LA Music Academy Visits Ecuador! In late January, Guitar Alum Santiago Granados was chosen to represent the LA Music Academy for a trip to Quito, Ecuador. During his visit, he spoke with prospective students at a University Fair at the Colegio Americano and Ozland Studios. According to Santiago, the trip was a huge success and “everybody was extremely helpful and really happy to have LA Music Academy there.” At the Colegio Americano, 5 different high schools from Quito are invited every year to attend this University Fair, which is the biggest one in Quito. Close to 30 universities and colleges, most of them from Ecuador and a couple from Mexico and the US, gather in the gymnasium to speak to prospective students. At Ozland Studios, Santiago spoke to prospective students about details and descriptions of each program, staff, admissions, scholarships, costs, student life, and Q&A. Guitar evaluations were offered to the guitar players. A special thanks goes out to Cesar Galarza (Guitar, 3/06) and his family and Danilo Arroyo (Drums, 9/97) and his family, Ozland Studios, and the Colegio Americano for helping to make this trip possible. |
